There is a lot more to NASCAR racing than a bunch of cars going round and round a track and crashes (though I find crashes a little interesting). Also, there is more to NASCAR than winning and cheering for whichever driver you want to cheer for.

First, before a race, the pit crew will decide which way to tilt the cars rear spoiler. If the spoiler is tilted a lot in the up direction, the car will not be as fast, but it will be able to turn better than if the spoiler was more flat. In the qualifying lap, the pit crew will most likely tilt the spoiler almost flat because even split seconds in the qualifying lap can cost the driver many positions.
