In places where trees once stood

there the old men sit and brood

for the world as they knew it ceases to be

It is no more a place for the free
The lush of green have all vanished

and our consciences,been banished

Mother nature has turned her back

On her inhabitants, their hearts so dark
Gunshots and missiles fall like rain

more blood than the ground can drain

more corpses than the earth can swallow

love for humanity, all the more shallow

People clamouring from every region

Still the insane onslaught rages on

people,properties continue to burn
Air depletion, pollution, global warming

 earth’s population keeps swarming

It seems no one is bothered at all

We all appear to be enjoying the gall
